The museum is housed in a fine 19^th century residence, surrounded by grounds featuring trees more than one hundred years old, with unique views over the Alps, Lake Geneva and Lausanne cathedral.

Next to the Hermitage is the farmhouse with its Education Centre and Michel Bugnion Auditorium, home to a programme of exhibition-related activities.

The restaurant L’esquisse in the former orangery offers visitors the chance to savour a colourful selection of seasonal dishes.
